At Plantman, we believe in more than just gears and machines—we thrive on the diversity of our employees that makes our workplace vibrant and dynamic.

To celebrate our people, for the past 10 years, we've hosted the annual highlight of our social calendar—Plantman’s Cultural Day.

On 13 April 2023, the workshop was transformed into an outdoor long table lunch, the air filled with the aroma of international cuisines, and colourful decorations from around the globe.

Cultural Day isn't just for the staff; whole family is invited. With kid-friendly activities, from jumping castles to face painting and the chance for little ones to use a real digger, everyone took part in the festivities.

Diversity is ingrained in our culture, with 60% of our workforce coming from international backgrounds, contributing to the rich and inclusive environment at Plantman.

As we look to 2024, Plantman will embark on a reconciliation journey alongside Reconciliation Australia - a non-government, not-for-profit foundation.

By implementing a Reconciliation Action Plan, Plantman aims to strengthen our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural respect, fostering an environment where all employees can thrive, as we work together towards reconciliation and mutual understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Managing Director Michael Elliot says, "Our people, customers, and wider community all benefit from a fairer, more inclusive culture, which contributes to operating a well-rounded organisation. Our annual Cultural Day helps us to feel more connected to our staff, their families and their cultures."

We eagerly await the next chapter of our cultural journey at Plantman.
